Marine Le Pen promised in case of her victory in the presidential elections in France to raise the issue of the country's return to the national currency, writes Le Parisien on Saturday.
"The Euro is dead," she said in an interview with the magazine. "You need to control the currency and adapt it to the economy, because today a single currency is a burden," she explained. According to Le Pen, the euro should be left only for the financial activities of international companies.
Le Pen went to the second round of the presidential elections together with the leader of the Forward movement Emmanuel Macron. It will be held on May 7. Polls predict a victory for Macron.
