Lawyer of Viktor Yanukovych refused to accept revised suspicion of state treason. This was reported during the briefing, which was broadcast by "112 Ukraine" TV channel, by the attorney of the Prosecutor General’s Office.
"Having arrived at the premises of the Prosecutor General’s Office, (lawyer - Ed.) submitted written statement on the fact of his refusal to receive the mentioned message. However, at the same time, this message was also sent by mail to the address of their advocate activity. Thus, the Prosecutor General’s Office has taken measures to deliver this note,” prosecutor said.
"The fact of this refusal for any reasons does not affect the continued implementation of the pre-trial investigation... According to the decision of the investigating judge to grant a permit for a special pre-trial investigation, all the procedural documents starting from the date of the issuance of the relevant regulations will be awarded directly to the defenders," the prosecutor's office reassured.
It should be noted that at the same time the defense of Yanukovych again points out that the amended text of the suspicion was not delivered and requires presentation “in compliance with the order of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine - in the order of international legal assistance."
