Today, on October 12, during the March of Pensioners in Minsk, OMON law enforcers used stunt grenades. Preliminary, there are wounded among the protesters as Nexta reported on Telegram channel.

“The detentions took place in front of the Belarusian National Technical University (BNTU). The law enforcers detain students; pensioners try to fight them off. The explosions are heard. The witnesses report about, possibly, the explosion of a stunt grenade”, the message said.

Besides, according to the witnesses, there are affected after the use of stunt grenades by OMON. The ambulance came to the site.

Earlier, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus informed that, special equipment and military weapons might be used against the protesters in Minsk.

As we reported, on October 11, the Belarusian police apprehended more than 500 members of March of Dignity, using water cannons and tear gas to disperse the protesters. Pushkinskaya metro station in Minsk was closed at the entrance and exit. Also people there were dispersed using water cannons. However, in Minsk protests continue, despite attempts by security officials to disperse people.
