Ukraine's Interior Minister Arsen Avakov states that law enforcers would severely punish all sorts of violations during the upcoming election campaign. The Ministry's press office quoted him as saying.
"Unfortunately, we already get information about such attempts", Avakov said.
He also added that the Ministry has enough forces, means and motivation to control the electoral process.
Avakov added that the Ministry cooperates with the Central Election Committee and Civilian Network Opora, the organization that conducts thorough monitoring of election and observes violations.
"These elections take place amidst the Covid-19 and the quarantine, so I ask the candidates and their election staffs to consider special conditions of mass events and not to risk the health of their voters. No party or candidate will get any preferences from the Interior Ministry or the police, but everyone can count on protection and provision of his rights", Interior Minister said.
