The main investigative department of the Ukrainian Security Service during criminal proceedings on the grounds of preparation for the commission of crime provided in Part. 1 Art. 109 and part 3 of Art. 110-2 of the Criminal Code, checks information on the intentions of leaders of certain radical structures to carry out provocations with a possible force scenario during a mass public action in Kyiv on October 17. This is reported by the SSU press center.
It is noted that the search for this small arms and weapons was documented.
"With the aim of preventing harm to life and health of people and other serious consequences, the employees of the Security Service of Ukraine stopped these illegal intentions by blocking 14.10.2017 attempts to buy 2 AK-47 assault rifles and 3 grenade launchers by two former activists of the Revolutionary Right Forces association", message reads.
Also, according to the SSU, during the 9 searches, more than 200 thousand UAH, communication means, computer equipment and other things that were used to prepare acts of a provocative and violent nature were seized.
As reported, the ex-head of Odessa Administration Mikheil Saakashvili and his associates intend to protest in Kyiv on October 17. Saakashvili says he is not ready to name an approximate number of participants, "but he hopes there will be a lot of them." Several political forces and public organizations have already announced their participation in the upcoming rally. These are political parties: Rukh Novykh Syl of Mikheil Saakashvili, VO Svoboda of Oleg Tyagnybok, Public Movement Khvylya of Viktor Chumak, Alternative Party of Yegor Firsov, Democratic Alliance Party (Vasyl Gatko and Viktoria Ptashnik), Samopomich of Andriy Sadovyi, National Corps of Andriy Biletsky and 5.10 of Gennady Balashov.
The main requirements are: new rules for the election to the parliament, which include a proportional system with open lists, the abolition of deputy immunity, the creation of an anti-corruption court.
As it was reported earlier, the former Georgian leader illegally crossed the Ukrainian border via Shegyni checkpoint. The crowd of at least 60 people, including five MPs, literally carried Saakashvili through the checkpoint, getting into a fight with law enforcers.
