Russian TV channels broadcasting in Latvia should be officially considered as 'foreign agents'. Raimond Leinieks-Puke, the member of the Directors Board of Latvia's Social Democratic Workers Party said that as quoted by Izvestiya.
'We already sent the letter to the Parliament, offering to do so; if we manage to collect enough votes, the Parliament will have to look into that opportunity,' he told the outlet.
According to Leinieks-Puke, Russian TV channels are directly related to the Kremlin and aim to undermine the EU-NATO unity; giving them the status of foreign agents will considerably limit their activities.
