According to the governmental decree, the city authorities have decided to strengthen anti-epidemic measures in Kyiv. This was announced by mayor of Ukraine’s capital Vitaliy Klitschko during a briefing.
"I want to inform you that the city has decided to intensify anti-epidemic measures in the capital of Ukraine in accordance with the governmental decree," Klitschko said.
What changes will be applied:
- The city will restrict the work of catering and entertainment facilities (including cinemas) - they will operate until 22:00;
- Public cultural, entertainment, sports, and advertising activities will be limited from 22:00.
Klitschko noted that these restrictions were necessary and were aimed at curbing the spread of the disease.
As we reported earlier, as of July 1, 44,998 cases of coronavirus infection were registered in Ukraine. 664 new cases have been confirmed over the last 24 hours.
Since the beginning of the pandemic, 1,173 people have died from the complications caused by the disease; (14 of them - over the past 24 hours). However, 19,548 patients have successfully recovered.
