A military parade on the occasion of Ukraine's Independence Day will take place in Kyiv next year. The relevant decree was signed by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.
"Given the historical significance of the proclamation of Ukraine's independence on August 24, 1991, in order to celebrate the 30th anniversary of this event in 2021, I decide: to organize and hold a parade of troops on the occasion of the 30th anniversary of Independence on August 24, 2021, on Khreschatyk Street and on Maidan Nezalezhnosti in Kyiv," the text of the document reads.
It is also planned to issue a commemorative coin, postage stamp, and envelope to mark the 30th anniversary of Ukraine's Independence.
As we reported earlier, on September 24, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky signed a decree on establishing a professional holiday in Ukraine - the Day of the winegrower and winemaker.
"To establish a professional holiday in Ukraine - the Day of the winegrower and winemaker, which is celebrated annually on the second Sunday of November," the statement said.
