Kyiv Mayor Vitaliy Klitschko has recovered from coronavirus infection. He announced this during an online briefing.

"I am glad to return to active work. My test for coronavirus is negative. And I feel good," the official said.

It is worth noting that Klitschko learned about a positive result of his test for coronavirus on the eve of local elections - on October 24.

As we reported earlier, over the last 24 hours, Ukrainian medics have confirmed 9,524 new cases of coronavirus infection.

420,617 confirmed cases have been detected in Ukraine since the pandemic reached this country. 176,404 people recovered (+7,536 per 24 hours), and 7,731 passed away (+199).

Meanwhile, Ukraine's Healthcare Ministry assumes there is a chance that another halt of public transport traffic in Kyiv is possible.

"If we are talking about the red level of epidemic danger, there are two points concerning the public transport. The first one is the restriction on the work of public transport. The second one is the restriction of boarding on interregional transport. Routes that depart from Kyiv can be banned, too. I'm not saying it will be imposed instantly, but such an option can not be ruled out," reads the message.
