District Administrative Court of Kyiv has opened the proceeding on the lawsuit of the Justice Ministry against political Party of Shariy as the court reported.
“The complainant asks the court to demand from the Security Service of Ukraine the conclusions of the experts mentioned in the letter of the Justice Ministry dated March 4, 2021, toward the illicit activity of the political party and ban the activity of the Party of Shariy,” the message said.
The court will consider the case according to the rules of the lawsuit, with the summoning of the sides. The trial in the case is scheduled for April 6, 2021.
Earlier, Viktor Shariy, who registered the Party of Shariy, testified that the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) forced him to write an application to shut down the Party of Shariy by $2,000 bribe and threats.
On February 16, the SBU served charges in state treason to Anatoliy Shariy, the blogger and politician.
According to investigators, Shariy was carrying out illegal activities to detriment Ukraine's national security in the information sphere.
In turn, Shariy stated that the Security Service of Ukraine did not serve him charges officially. He read about it on the Telegram channel.
Later, the SBU put Shariy on the wanted list. On March 1, the SBU requested international legal aid in the criminal proceeding in the case of Anatoliy Shariy. The request was filed to Kyiv Prosecutor’s Office.
Besides, the court permitted the detention of the suspect in state treason Anatoliy Sharity to transfer him to the court for choosing a restrictive measure for him in the form of the detention in custody.
