Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili invited the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko to make a visit to Georgia. This was discussed during their telephone conversation, the press service of the head of state reports.
Prime Minister of Georgia invited the President of Ukraine to make a visit to Georgia at a convenient time. Also, the sides discussed the state and prospects of bilateral relations and agreed to intensify the political dialogue at all levels.
"The sides noted the importance of deepening Ukrainian-Georgian cooperation, including the work with international organizations. The Head of State praised the consistent and comprehensive support to Ukraine and also pointed out the importance of continuing cooperation in multilateral formats for the effective defense of human rights and de-occupation of the territories of Ukraine and Georgia", reads the statement.
Poroshenko and Kvirikashvili and agreed to hold the next meeting of the Joint Intergovernmental Ukrainian-Georgian commission on economic cooperation in the spring of 2017.
