In Belgrade, a meeting was held between the Special Representative of the US State Department for Ukraine Kurt Volker and the Russian President's aide Vladislav Surkov. This is reported by Blic.
The newspaper does not give details about the topic and place of meeting.
It is reported, however, that the fact of the conversation was also confirmed by Serbian Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic to one of the Serbian TV channels. According to him, this meeting is "an indicator of the change and improvement of Serbia's foreign policy position."
It was expected that Volker and Surkov could discuss the issue of the UN peacekeeping mission in Donbas. The first meeting of Surkov and Volker took place on August 21 in Minsk.
