Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba invited his Belarusian counterpart Uladzimir Makei to a meeting of the Lublin Triangle ministers. The press service of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reports this.
“Belarus and Ukraine are not just partners, but also neighbors and friends. We support Belarus in protecting its sovereignty and economic security,” Kuleba said.
The head of the Ukrainian diplomacy informed the Belarusian Foreign Minister about the start of the Lublin Triangle initiative of the three countries and invited him to Kyiv as an honored guest to the meeting of the foreign ministers of Ukraine, Lithuania and Poland.
The foreign ministers agreed to hold political consultations at the level of deputy ministers in the near future. They will pay special attention to the preparation for the official visit of the President of Ukraine to Belarus and the holding of the third forum of the regions of Ukraine and Belarus (October 8-9, 2020 in Grodno).
As we reported before, Ukraine, Poland, and Lithuania are creating a new format of cooperation called "Lublin Triangle".
