Ukraine's evoy to Minsk talks ex-president Kuchma leaves the group

Ukraine's representative in Minsk talks group Leonid Kuchma thanked his colleagues for cooperation and left this negotiation authority, Darka Olifer, his press secretary posted this on Facebook on Tuesday evening.

'Thus, his work of Ukraine's representative in the Trilateral Contact Group is over', she wrote, commenting on the Tuesday meeting of the group in Belarus. 

On the behalf of the Group, Martin Sajdik, the OSCE representative thanked Kuchma for his part in the group, as well as his wisdom and devotion to Ukraine, which he showed during the negotiation process in Minsk', Olifer said. 

The second president of Ukraine turned 80 in August; he earlier said he would leave the group upon reaching a 'critical age'.
