President of the U.S. Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin published their joined statement on the results of the meeting in the framework of the APEC summit, as the press service of the Kremlin informs

In particular, the leaders confirmed their intention to defeat the terrorist organization Islamic State in Syria, as well as continue joint efforts on fighting the militants until they are completely defeated.

At the same time, the presidents noted there isn’t a military solution for the problem, and reaffirmed their support for the sovereignty, independence, and territorial integrity of Syria.
