It is necessary to talk about Donbas will local citizens and there is no point to talk about Crimea. Dmitry Peskov, the Spokesperson of Russian President Vladimir Putin made such statement as the respond to words of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky about the intention to talk with Russian leader Vladimir Putin that Crimea is Ukraine, as Interfax reported.
“Concerning Donbas, then, possibly, there is no need to talk with Putin but with citizens of Donbas. They are the direct interlocutor…And there is no point to talk about Crimea,” Peskov said.
He expressed confidence that in case of a dialogue with Zelensky, Putin “will begin the communication with the right phrases.”
Earlier we reported that President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky will make clear the position on Donbas and Crimea at the possible meeting with President of Russia Volodymyr Putin. Zelensky said that the words: “Donbas and Crimea is Ukraine” will be the first words which Putin will hear from him at their personal meeting.
Besides, Zelensky hopes for the support of Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel in the fight against the Russian aggression, restoration of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the state.
