Kremlin has stated that the intensification of hostilities in the Donbas will be the beginning of the end of Ukraine. The Deputy Chief of Staff of the Presidential Executive Office of the Russian Federation Dmitry Kozak stated this at a press conference.
"I believe that the beginning of the hostilities is the beginning of the end of Ukraine. This is a self-inflicted wound – a shot is not in the leg, but in the temple," he said.
In addition, Russia has stated that they are ready to "defend" the residents of Donbas with Russian passports if it will be necessary.
"It all depends on the scale of the fire. If there is a Srebrenica massacre, as our president Vladimir Putin says, we will probably be forced to defend. For today, armed formations have been battle-hardened for seven years ... able to maintain the defense. I hope there will be no such need," Kozak said.
As it was reported earlier, the head of the Administration of the President of Russia Dmitry Kozak accused Ukraine of imitating the military threat in Donbas.
