The Kremlin does not prepare for the meeting of Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian leader Vladimir Putin as Strana reported citing Putin’s Spokesperson Dmitriy Peskov.
Besides, in the talk with the journalists, Kremlin’s speaker added that the words of Zelensky on the difference of people of two countries “do not fit in the process of preparation for the meeting of the leaders in any way”.
“Yes, by the way, if we abstract away from unfortunate, from our point of view, statements, no preparation is held and any steps are assumed,” Peskov reported.
On June 30, the President of Russia held a phone-in with the Russians. During the dialogue, Putin mentioned Ukraine many times. Particularly, he stated that “Zelensky gave the land for foreign governance, and key issues of life-sustaining activity of Ukraine are being solved not in Kyiv but in Washington, and partly in Berlin, and Paris”.
Putin also specified that he does not refuse the meeting with the Ukrainian president.
