Kremlin comments information on the beginning of the investigation of the possible Russian influence on the protests of “yellow vests” by the French law enforcers. Dmitry Peskov, the spokesperson of Russia’s president claimed that the protests against the possible increase of prices for fuel are the inner case of France, and Russia does not interfere in such processes. RBK reported this, quoting him as saying.
“I, firstly, would correct you (the journalists, - 112.international): the involvement of Russia is impossible, as I said the issue is about the possible foreign interference. Russia was put in the context by 'our friends' later,” Peskov said.
According to him, “Moscow respects the sovereignty of France and Russian authorities are grateful when Paris feels it back”. The accusations of the involvement in the protests, according to Peskov, “are nothing else but defamation”.
Earlier, Bloomberg reported that the French security services investigate the possible foreign interference into the protests of “yellow vests” after the particular messages on the social networks.. A lot of accounts on the social networks supposedly connected with the Russian Federation are suspected in the spread of the messages on the unrests in French cities during “yellow vests” protests.
The large-scale protests took place on December 8 in many French cities. The similar protest was dispersed by the police in Brussels.
The Security Service of Ukraine stated there was Russian influence in the protests of the "yellow vests". The reason for such a statement was a photo with the flag of Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) militants against the background of the Paris protest actions of recent days.
