According to Putin’s Spokesperson Dmitriy Peskov, the meeting at the highest level should be prepared well

Dmitriy Peskov, Spokesperson of President of the Russian Federation called the conditions for the meeting of Russian leader Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as TASS reported.

Peskov commented on the statement of Zelensky that the meeting of the Normandy Format leaders (Germany, France, Russia and Ukraine) is prepared; however, if it does not take place, he is ready to meet each of the leaders personally. According to Peskov, the fulfillment of the earlier reached agreements on Donbas would become the best preparation of the meeting of the presidents of Russia and Ukraine.

“Any meeting, moreover at the highest level, should be prepared well. In this case, the best preparation might be and should be the fulfillment of earlier reached agreements,” Peskov said.

He explained that the issue is about the provisions of the Minsk Agreements that were approved in Paris in 2019.

Besides, Peskov responded to the statement of Head of the President’s Office of Ukraine Andriy Yermak on the plan of peaceful settlement of Donbas Conflict.

According to Yermak, the plan on Donbas prepared by Ukraine and Western partners is ready but it should be approved by Russia.

However, Peskov stated that he had no information about the new plan of peaceful settlement of the Donbas Conflict.

Earlier, Peskov stated that Russia does not intend to annex Donbas; this issue is not on the agenda.
