Businessman Ihor Kolomoysky is not a representative of the government and President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky’s team, and he is not authorized to speak on behalf of the state. This was stated by the Spokesperson of the President of Ukraine Yulia Mendel on her Twitter page.
"Ihor Kolomoysky is not a representative of the government or a member of Volodymyr Zelensky’s team. He has no authority to speak on behalf of Ukraine or the office of the president, and no state affairs are being discussed with him," she wrote.
Meanwhile, Ihor Kolomoysky stated that it is time for Ukraine to give up the West and forge relations with Russia. He told this in an interview with The New York Times.
“They’re stronger anyway. We have to improve our relations,” he said, comparing Russia’s power to that of Ukraine. “People want peace, a good life, they don’t want to be at war. And you” — America — “are forcing us to be at war, and not even giving us the money for it," Kolomoysky stated.
As we reported earlier, Kolomoysky has been interested in the ski resort — whose plan includes 33 lifts, 142 miles of ski runs, scores of hotels and 120 restaurants and which threatens to extend the damage to a particularly vulnerable high-altitude woodland zone known as the Svydovets massif.
