Pavlo Klimkin, the Foreign Minister of Ukraine held the consultation with Oleksandr Alexandrovych, the Ambassador of Ukraine to Serbia on the topical issues of the relationships with Serbia on November 7 as the press service of the Foreign Ministry reported.
‘The key attention was drawn to the issue of the Serbian mercenaries that fight in Donbas as a part of the pro-Russian militants’ troops and necessity of observation of its international commitments in a fight against the terrorism by Serbia, despite the discussion of the Ukrainian-Serbian relationships’ the ministry noted.
Also, the illegal ties of Serbians with occupied Crimea cause the concern of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry.
‘We expressed the hope that the Serbian side completely sticks to the declared principle of the respect for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within the internationally recognized borders’, the message said.
Also, the plan of the further actions at the bilateral and multilateral levels, including the cooperation with our European friends and partners was agreed during the meeting.

The ambassador also mentioned the Serbian mercenaries fighting on the side of the Russian armed formations in Donbas.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Serbia accused the Ukrainian ambassador in the intentions to harm the friendly relations between Moscow and Belgrade. Alexandrovych can be expelled out from Serbia and called persona non-grata.
