Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin called on EU foreign ministers to continue sanctions against the Russian Federation at a meeting of "Friends of Ukraine + Ukraine in the EU" in Luxembourg. The MFA press service reported this.
"Ukrainian Foreign Minister called on EU foreign ministers to continue the sanctions pressure on Russia as one effective means of bringing this country to cooperate, as well as to the preservation of the policy of non-recognition of occupation of the Crimea and Sevastopol. Particular attention should be paid to the systematic violation of human rights on the peninsula and the need of strengthening the international community's attention to this problem", reads the statement.
Recall that the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin visits Luxembourg and Brussels on October 16-17.
According to the report, during this visit Klimkin took part in a meeting in the format "Ukraine + Friends of Ukraine in the EU" at the level of the Member States of the European Union foreign ministers.
