Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin and UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres discussed possible ways of further engaging the UN in resolving humanitarian situation and restoring infrastructure in Donbas region within the framework of the UN Secretary General's visit to Ukraine, the press service of the Foreign Ministry reported.

It was noted that attention was also paid to the protection of human rights in Crimea, especially in the context of ensuring the implementation of the relevant resolution of UN General Assembly.

Earlier it was reported that UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres arrived in Ukraine and met with Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman. At the talks, he assured that the UN will continue to provide assistance to Ukraine and support the internally displaced persons.

Also today, Petro Poroshenko will discuss with Antonio Guterres the implementation of the UN General Assembly decisions regarding Crimean peninsula annexed by Russia.
