Pavlo Klimkin, the Minister of Foreign Affairs met with Johannes Hahn, the Commissioner for European Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations. The press office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs claimed.

The interlocutors discussed the ways of future enhancement of political, economic and sectoral integration of Ukraine into the EU. Moreover, the sides called the Russian Federation to release all political prisoners in particular Oleg Sentsov, a Ukrainian filmmaker.

Also, they addressed the issue of the Eastern partnership development in particular expectations for the ministry session of Eastern partnership in Luxembourg in October 2018 and for the informal meeting of EU, Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova on the level of ministers of economy and trade which is to be held in September this year.

Reportedly, Lyudmyla, Oleg Sentsov’s mother wrote a letter to Putin with a request to pardon the Ukrainian political prisoner.

Oleg Sentsov is detained at Labytnangi, Russian colony. He turned 42 today on July 13.

Sentsov is unlawful sentenced to 20 years of imprisonment in Russia. He is condemned for the organization of terrorist act.

Today is the 61st days of the filmmaker hunger strike. The only requirement of Sentsov is to release of Ukrainian political prisoners kept in Russian prisons.
