US intelligence believes that in recent months, North Korea has increased the production of nuclear fuel on several secret sites. This was reported by the NBC television channel referring to officials who told this information on condition of anonymity. According to them, the leader of the DPRK Kim Jong-un tries to hide this from the administration of Donald Trump and mislead the US in future negotiations on denuclearization.
North Korea could intensify the production of enriched uranium for nuclear weapons. On this television channel was informed by five officials in the US, referring to the latest intelligence data. Although the DPRK and the United States agreed to "work towards" denuclearization," there is no concrete deal.
"While the DPRK has stopped rocket and nuclear tests, there is no evidence that they are reducing inventories or that they have stopped production," one source said. "There is absolutely unequivocal evidence that they are trying to deceive the United States."
Four other officials familiar with the assessment of intelligence, also said that North Korea intends to deceive the United States.
They added that for a long time it was understood that there is at least one nuclear fuel enrichment facility in North Korea, except Yonben (officially considered to be the only nuclear research center in the DPRK).
