North Korean leader Kim Jong-un called the meeting of the Workers' Party in Pyongyang. During the session, he ordered the government to prepare for open confrontation with Joe Biden's administration. KCNA cited Kim Jong-un as saying.
According to the message, "General Secretary stressed the need to get prepared for both dialogue and confrontation, especially to get fully prepared for confrontation in order to protect the dignity of our state and its interests for independent development and to reliably guarantee the peaceful environment and the security of our state".
Earlier, North Korea criticized Biden's statements about Pyongyang posing a serious threat for the security of his country and the entire world. Kim also claimed such statements of the White House prove that the U.S. intends to carry on with hostile policy towards the DPRK. The leader also added that the nuclear arms development is the country's right for self-defense, and accused Washington of "constant nuclear blackmail".
