North Korean leader Kim Jong-un is alive and healthy. Moon Chung-in, the special counselor of top foreign policy adviser to South Korean President Moon Jae-in said so as quoted by CNN.

"Our government position is firm. Kim Jong Un is alive and well. He has been staying in the Wonsan area since April 13. No suspicious movements have so far been detected", the official stated. 

"The Wonsan complex, according to 38 North, includes leisure facilities such as nine large guesthouses, a recreation center, a large building constructed after Kim came to power, a protected port, a shooting range, a recreation building, a covered dock, and a small runway converted in 2019 into a horse-riding track, a hobby of Kim's", CNN wrote.

Rumors about the North Korean chairman appeared in the press after New York Post published an article saying that the North Korean leader could have died after heart surgery. The well-known British newspaper Daily Mail also wrote about this.

Earlier, head of the Korean Friendship Association, diplomat Alejandro Cao de Benos claimed that the information about Kim Jong-un's death was untrue. According to him, the rumors about the death of "our marshal are false and malicious."
