Kim Jong-un handed a personal invitation to South Korean President Moon Jae-in to visit the DPRK. The letter was delivered by the younger sister of the leader of North Korea, reports Reuters.

It is also noted that the South Korean president accepted the invitation.

As reported, the President of South Korea hosted the official delegation of North Korea, which also included the sister of the leader of the DPRK Kim Ye Eun. The level of the delegation has become the highest since the end of the Korean War. Also the first in the history was the visit of a member of the DPRK leader's family to South Korea.

The head of South Korea met the DPRK delegation in the presidential palace. The parties exchanged handshakes. The delegation invited to the palace included the Chairman of the Committee on Peaceful Unification of the Motherland Son Gwon and the Chairman of the State Committee for Physical Culture and Sports Choi Hwie.

We recall, on February 9 South Korean Pyeongchang held the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics. North Korea will be represented at the competition by 22 athletes. The country's participation was agreed upon in the talks between Pyongyang and Seoul in January.
