Hennadiy Kernes, the mayor of Kharkiv appears to be sick with coronavirus. The politician suffers a tough form of the disease. Currently, he is stationed at the city hospital, suffering from bilateral pneumonia, caused by Covid-19. A source in the President's Office reported that as quoted by ZN.UA.

Kernes is in coma, although there is no confirmed information whether it's an artificially induce coma or not. 

Last time the mayor appeared on public was on August 23, when Kharkiv residents celebrated the City Day. In the first days of September, doctors claimed he got sick with Covid-19.

On August 23, we reported that leader of Batkivshchyna party Yulia Tymoshenko got sick with Covid-19. Her condition was considered tough. On September 11, the politician's press secretary overcame the disease, but she was still recovering from pneumonia.

On September 13, 168 new cases of the coronavirus infection were observed in Kyiv. The city's major Vitaliy Klitschko announced this on his Telegram channel.

It is also reported that three people died of the infection yesterday. 272 people have died from the virus since the beginning of the pandemic. To date, 17,429 confirmed cases of coronavirus infection have been registered in the city.
