Kharkiv court bans NGO that participated in Anti-Maidan

Kharkiv District Administrative Court banned the activity of Kharkiv regional NGO “Rus Tryiedyna” (Triunity of Rus) as SBU press office reported.

It was defined that this organization participated in the so-called Anti-Maidan (refers to a number of demonstrations in Ukraine first directed against the Euromaidan and later the new Ukrainian government, - ed.) within the consideration of the case in the court.

Also, the group put in claims on federalization of Ukraine and organized several sacred processions in Kharkiv urging to create a so-called Kharkiv People’s Republic and its further accede to Russia.

Reportedly, on April 6,7 in 2014, rallies took place in front of Kharkiv Regional Administration which later escalated into large riots.

Then, the pro-Russian protesters took over the building of the regional administration building, which was later released. The Internal Ministry special units detained the criminals.
