Kharkiv city authority registers Ihor Terekhov as new mayor

Kharkiv city territorial election committee voted for registration of Ihor Terekhov as new mayor.

According to the agency's head Olena Matviyenko, Terekhov personally applicated the necessary package of documents to be registered.

"Having looked into the mentioned statement and the applied documents, Kharkiv city territorial electoral committee found them compatible with the requirements of Electoral Code", she said.

The decision was made unanimously.

Ihor Terekhov gained 50.66% votes – 146,240 residents of Kharkiv voted for him.

82,008 citizens voted for Mykhailo Dobkin.

Thus, the elections of the Kharkiv head took place in one round.

According to exit poll, Ihor Terekhov wins the mayoral elections in Kharkiv - 53.8% of city residents voted for him. This is evidenced by the results of the exit poll, which was carried out by order of the Committee of Voters of Ukraine.
