The head of Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, turned to President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky with an appeal to "determine your position and confirm your apologies" for the video of Kvartal 95 show (with the participation of Zelensky) that offended the former. Kadyrov announced this on Telegram.
In June, journalist Dmytro Gordon published on Youtube an excerpt from his interview with Zelensky in 2018. In it, Zelenskiy apologizes to Muslims for his colleagues, who showed a video clip with a crying Kadyrov in the Kvartal 95 show.
The leader of Chechnya published this excerpt from an interview on Telegram and stated that in it Zelensky was trying to get away from direct apologies to him.
“Once I knew Zelensky as a person who, admitting his guilt, had the honor to apologize. It was worthy of a man. But why now, after the accepted apology, you try to pretend to be something, play around, wag, try to exalt yourself? Having received the powers of the President of Ukraine, each time you come up with new versions of the apology. You will have to firmly determine your position and confirm your apologies. If not, then you will have to answer to me not as the head of the republic, but as the son of the first president of the Chechen Republic, the hero of Russia Akhmat-Khadzhi Kadyrov, whose memory you have offended!" wrote Kadyrov.
"I am the son of the deceased Father, an infantryman of Great Leader Vladimir Putin, the defender of my people. You, Volodymyr Olexandrovych, choose the most suitable status for yourself, finally decide on who you are. You are dishonest and resourceful not only in your words but also in pre-election promises. You promised to end the war, but continue the work of your predecessor Poroshenko," Kadyrov summed up.
He also called on Zelensky to end "this civil war in the east."
He believes that the guarantor of the Constitution of Ukraine "must take the first step."
