Journalist Konstantin Stogniy filed a lawsuit against the MP, Adviser to the Ministry of Interior Minister Anton Gerashchenko for libel. Stogniy wrote this on Facebook.

"Gerashchenko went on TV and distributed the deliberate lie that ‘Stogniy was the Press Secretary of the Minister Alexander Zakharchenko’. Firstly, I do not know who he is. Apparently, Gerashchenko was referring to the Minister of Interior in 2014 - Vitaliy Zakharchenko. I left the bodies of internal affairs long before the Maidan and was not acquainted with the Minister Zakharchenko. These things are obvious and easily verified. I submit to the court merely to check how difficult it is now to prove to the Ukrainian court that white - it's white, and not black", wrote the journalist.

The statement claims that the People's Deputy "Gerashchenko spread information that is inaccurate, untrue, causing insult and defame the honor and reputation of Constantine Stogniy".

Recall, the open conflict between a journalist and adviser to the Minister of Internal Affairs began after the shooting in Kniazhychi, where 5 policemen were killed. Stogniy in his TV show has put forward a different version of the causes of the tragedy from the Ministry of Internal Affairs. In response, Gerashchenko said: "This is sheer stupidity. One woman said that the police themselves robbed the house, and came to service the State Guard. I can supplement Stogniy’s version and say that policemen robbed the house themselves and couldn’t share the booty. Your hosts will appreciate it positively!"
