Conference dedicated to Ukraine will be held in London in July. This was reported by Boris Johnson, Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs of Great Britain, during the meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland Witold Waszczykowski and Ukrainian Prime Minister Volodymyr Groysman in Kyiv, according to Ukrainian News.
"We will help you not only in the implementation of reforms, demonstration of progress in fight with corruption, but also make sure that the world know what Ukraine is doing and that it is on the right track. That’s why we are offering to hold a conference on Ukrainian issue in London in July. I believe this will be a very important event. We want to prepare for this conference properly," he said.
Johnson added that UK has always been supporting Ukraine and thinks the continuation of Russian aggression must not be allowed to go further.
In this context he emphasized that all efforts must be made to deter the aggressor, while Russia may not also be left unpunished for its actions in Ukraine.
He thinks that the best answer Ukraine can give for those foreign countries that doubt the necessity to support it is to show state’s progress and success in economic, political and social spheres.
At the same time he noted that Ukraine demonstrates progress in making reforms.
As Boris Johnson also claimed earlier today, the occupation of Crimea is never to be accepted, while sanctions against Russia should be strengthened.
