Japan assigns USD 13.6 million to restore infrastructure in Donbas

Money will go to offices of international organizations in Ukraine

According to Hennadiy Zubko, Ukraine’s Vice Prime Minister, Minister for Regional Development, Housing and Utilities, Japan allocated 13.6 million US dollars for international organizations in Ukraine that will work to restore infrastructure in war-torn Donbas (Ukrainski Novyny). “The costs that Japanese Prime Minister, Mr. Abe, offered Ukraine, are being handed to organizations working in Donetsk and Luhansk regions”, he said, specifying some of the organizations – UNDP, UNICEF, UN Food Program, the Red Cross and the others.
