Japan and US conduct joint exercises in response to DPRK missile launch

Military exercises were held in the area between western part of the island of Kyushu in southwest Japan and the Korean peninsula

The US Air Force together with Japanese Self-Defense Forces held joint exercises on Sunday, July 30, in connection with the another launch of the intercontinental ballistic missile by DPRK. This was reported by the head of the Japanese Foreign Ministry Fumio Kisida, reports Interfax.

"Two strategic bombers B-1 of the US Air Force and two fighters F-2 of the Self-Defense Forces of Japan  took part in the maneuvers," the report said.

We recall that on Saturday, July 29, North Korea announced the second successful launch of the intercontinental ballistic missile "Hwaseong-14."

Japan, following the United States of America, will impose additional sanctions against the Democratic People's Republic of Korea because of its weapons program.
