Ivan Vyhovsky is appointed the new head of the National Police in Kyiv. The official previously chaired the Main Department of National Police in Poltava region; Interfax-Ukraine reported that citing its own source.

"Vyhovsky is to chair the Kyiv police. On Wednesday, he will get acquainted with the staff of the central administrative board", the interlocutor said.

In 2015-2016, Vyhovsky served as the Chair of Ochakiv police unit in Mykolaiv region, southern Ukraine. In 2016, he became the Chief of Investigation Department of the National Police in Mykolaiv region.

In February 2020, he chaired the National Police in Poltava region.

Vyhovsky will replace Andriy Kryshchenko, the head of Main Department of National Police in Kyiv who resigned and confirmed this fact on August 11.
