NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg warned United States President-elect Donald Trump that it's not the right time for the United States to abandon the Alliance, writes The Guardian referring to an article of general secretary.
Stoltenberg explained that the West is now facing the greatest threat to security in recent years.
"Now is not the time to question the value of the partnership between Europe and the US. Over the past few years we have seen a sharp deterioration in our security with an increasingly assertive Russia, and the instability in North Africa and the Middle East." - He said.
Let us recall that on November 9, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg congratulated United States president-elect Donald Trump with a victory in the elections. He also said he was looking forward to meeting with Trump in the near future and invited him to a next year NATO summit.
