Illegal migrants who were aboard of Diciotti vessel in the port of Catania, Sicily will be able to go ashore. Matteo Salvini, Deputy Prime Minister and Head of Italian MIA claimed this on Saturday, AFP reports. According to him, most of them will be hosted by a church.
Earlier, the Albanian Government claimed that will take 20 migrants from the vessel. Also, Ireland agreed to host 20-25 people.
Reportedly, the migrants who were aboard of Diciotti vessel moored on the Italian shores declared a hunger strike.
Also, it was found out on Saturday that the Italian Prosecutor's office initiated an investigation in accordance with the situation around the refugees on Diciotti vessel.
The reason for it was the actions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Minister's orders that prohibit migrants to go ashore.
