“The position of the representative office of the president in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea is known for the community – we believe that before the de-occupation it is not feasible to consider such a variant,” Korynevych said.
Meanwhile, according to Crimean Tatar leader, MP Mustafa Dzhemilev, there is enough drinking water for the citizens of occupied Crimea.
“Newly-appointed prime minister said that it is necessary to supply water for humanitarian purposes as there are our citizens. Our pro-Ukrainian citizens against lifting of blockade and water supply. This person does not now the attitude of people there. Water present in Crimea is enough to drink but not enough to farming, large number of military objects, great construction of accommodation for back-settlers from Russia. According to our estimation, at least half a million people were transferred during the previous six years. However, according to UN Secretary-General report, the issue is about 140,000, but in reality, there are three-four times more people. Water and resources are needed for all of this. And we are talking about some humanitarian issues?,” Dzhemilev said.
During the talk show Ukraine’s PM Denys Shmygal stated that Ukraine should supply water to Crimea. Otherwise, the humanitarian catastrophe will take place on the peninsula.
Later, he stated that the government of Ukraine cannot supply water to Crimea annexed by Russia until its de-occupation and return to Ukraine. He explained that this thesis was lost during the discussion at the talk show.
