The issues, which will unite, not divide people, should be discussed at the All-Ukrainian referendum as ICTV reported citing Ruslan Stefanchuk, the Representative of the President at the Parliament.
According to him, the mechanism, which provides the Ukrainians with a possibility to express their opinion, should be established at the legislation level.
He emphasized that in some cases, the making of the decision should be provided not by the half of the votes but more, for example, ¾.
“The information campaign issue will be important. Because issues concerning NATO and EU, we are ready to submit for the referendum as soon as the Ukrainian society recognize that we are such state at the moment, which allows us to pretend for the membership,” Stefanchuk noted.
According to him, the decisions, which divide, should not be submitted for the referendum.
“It is very important for us to highlight the issues, which are prioritized and it is very important that they should unite us in the future and not divided us in the past,” he added.
Earlier, Andriy Bohdan, the Head of the Administration of President Volodymyr Zelensky stated that the authority considered the option to make the peace agreements with Russia a matter of the national referendum.
'In his speeches, Volodymyr Zelensky himself declared that we consider making some agreements the matter of the referendum. It's not only about the politicians talking, but also about the people. We consider making the issue of reaching the peace agreements with Russia a matter of the all-nation referendum, so that the people of Ukraine would decide that, too - not just the MPs' votes and the President making the decision', Bohdan said.
