Ukraine offered to hold the meeting of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in Kyiv and this issue will be considered in autumn. The Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Andriy Paruby claimed this at the joint press conference with the President of the NATO PA Paolo Alli. 112 Ukraine broadcasted it.
'Six months ago our Parliamentary delegations to NATO and me appealed to the President with the offer to hold the next session of NATO PA in Ukraine. As far as we know, this issue will be considered in autumn at the session of the Committee of the Parliamentary Assembly. We expect that possibly the NATO PA session can take place here in Kyiv in spring 2019 as the previous session took place in Tbilisi, Georgia. It is extremely symbolical because Georgia as Ukraine experienced the Russian aggression', he said.
Paruby emphasized that the decision of PA is really important for Ukraine.
The Ukrainian Parliament voted in affirmative to become the member of NATO. 276 MPs supported this.
