Israel asks Ukraine to transfer its embassy from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem. The corresponding statement was made by the Israeli Ambassador to Ukraine Joel Lion in an interview with

"We want an embassy in Jerusalem. We ask Ukraine to open an embassy in Jerusalem, not in Tel Aviv," the Israeli diplomat said.

The Embassy of Ukraine in Israel is now located in Tel Aviv.

In 2017, U.S. President Donald Trump recognized Jerusalem as the capital of Israel and ordered the American embassy to be moved from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem.
