Israeli Air Force have delivered an airstrike on the HAMAS militants' armory in the Gaza Strip. The attack occurred after Thursdday midnight. According to the Israeli Defense Force, it was the response to a new wave of arsons of explosive balloons in the country's south.
Times of Israel cited a source in the military, which said that the armory was used by HAMAS for development and manufacturing of firearms.
"The strike was carried out in response to the arson balloon attacks on Israeli territory. The IDF will respond with determination against all terror attempts from the Gaza Strip", the statement said.
There was no information about any victims.
Earlier, on July 1, the incendiary balloons were launched from Gaza; it "sparked four fires near Israeli towns along the southern border, breaking more than two weeks of quiet since the last wave of arson attacks", reads the article.
As it was reported earlier, on late May 11, a huge missile attack occurred in Tel Aviv and its vicinities. Hamas movement claimed the responsibility, stating that 130 missiles were fired in the direction of the Israeli capital city.
