Israel has refused to comply with resolution adopted late Friday by UN Security Council banning the construction of new Jewish settlements on the Palestinian territories. "Israel rejects the anti-Israel resolution," the official report of the government says, which was quoted by Jerusalem Post.
"The Obama administration not only failed to protect Israel against the UN's obsession with Israel, it collaborated with the UN behind Israel's back," the statement emphasized, calling the resolution "shameful".
"Israel looks forward to working with President-elect Trump and with all our friends in Congress, Republicans and Democrats alike, to negate the harmful effects of this absurd resolution."
Earlier, Trump responded to the resolution of the UN Security Council saying that after his inauguration on January 20, "things will be different."
As to the U.N., things will be different after Jan. 20th.

The United States refused to put veto on the resolution, and it was adopted as a result. 14 members of the Security Council voted in favor.
