Iryna Fryz, Ukrainian MP and the Chief of Ukraine's mission in NATO, has been assigned the Minister for Veterans' Affairs. 270 MPs upheld her candidacy, with 226 votes necessary to pass.

In February, the Parliament turned to the Cabinet, offering to create the Ministry for Veterans' Affairs. In summer, the parliamentary faction of Petro Poroshenko's Bloc supported Fryz for this office.

Earlier on Tuesday, the Ukrainian lawmakers approved Oksana Markarova's candidacy as the Finance Minister. 242 MPs voted 'yes', with 226 votes necessary to pass.  

The official previously served in this authority as Acting Minister and Deputy Minister. She de facto chaired the Ministry when the-then Minister Oleksandr Danylyuk was sacked in June 2018.
