Iran's security agencies prosecuted and mistreated members of the families of victims of PS752 disaster. Human Rights Watch mentioned that in the report on May 27; Radio Liberty quoted them as saying.
"Iran's Revolutionary Guard killed 176 people without a shred of accountability, and now Iran's brutal security agencies are abusing victims' family members to squash any hope for justice," says Michael Paige, deputy Middle East director at Human Rights Watch.
The HRW contacted 31 members of families of victims, as well as other people familiar with Iran's stance towards the relatives of the victims. These people claim that Iranian agents deliberately apprehended, interrogated, tortured and otherwise mistreated members of victims' families. Iranian special services also interfered with burial ceremonies, clearly trying to mute any calls for responsibility.
At least 16 people claimed that the Iranian special services demanded not to give any interviews or summoned relatives and friends of the victims for interrogations.
