Mohsen Baharwand, Iran’s deputy foreign minister for international and legal affairs, said Iran and France agreed on a start date for analyzing the black boxes of Ukrainian plane shot down in January near Tehran. This was reported by Yevropeyska Pravda with reference to the Tasnim News.

"The Iranian Civil Aviation Organization (CAO) has carried out the necessary correspondence with the French Bureau of Investigation and Safety Analysis of Civil Aviation, and the deal is almost complete," Baharwand said on Sunday.

He also said that if no unexpected events happen, the "black boxes" will be delivered to France by the Iranian aviation team and the work on reading information will begin on July 20, 2020.

"A team of technical experts from Iran will manage the investigation, and the reading of information will be carried out under the guidance and control of the Iranian team. Of course, other countries, one way or another connected with this tragic event, can send their representative to France as an observer," added the Iranian official.

On June 22, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said that the flight recorders of the downed UIA plane will be sent to France. The French Bureau of Investigation and Safety Analysis of Civil Aviation confirmed the information.
