On December 31, 2020, Iran finally submitted a draft technical report on the causes of the UIA plane crash in Tehran to Ukraine. This was stated by Deputy Minister for Foreign Affairs Yevhen Yenin, Suspilne reports.
The report was passed on the fifth attempt on the evening of December 31. It is now being carefully examined by the competent authorities.
Ukraine has 60 days to comment and make suggestions on it. After that Iran will have another month to finalize it.
It should be noted that the report will be published after it is approved by the board of the International Civil Aviation Organization.
"It is too early to comment anything on the report. So far there is a fact that we have received it. The analysis will show how much it satisfies us in terms of objectivity and impartiality," said Yenin.
As we reported earlier, on January 8, Boeing 737 of Ukraine's International Airlines (PS 752 flight) with 176 passengers aboard crashed in Tehran, not far from Imam Khomeini airport.
11 citizens of Ukraine died in the crash. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky reported that the passenger plane crash in the Iranian capital had left no survivors.
Last week it was announced that the Iranian government would allocate 150,000 euros for payments to all the families of those killed in the crash.
